John Rice is currently President of Think Channel. His company focuses on building new and improving existing channel programs and developing more effective management and marketing for cloud and emerging technology companies.  John has worked with technology distributors and vendors building successful sales channels and partner programs and communities for over 25 years.  

Since 2008, John has been devoted to cloud computing and emerging technology spaces. He was a founding partner of Zlago, a Cloud Services Provider, where he built their successful channel program. After the company was acquired by Intermedia, John served as the Senior Director of the Intermedia Partner Community.  

In 1993, as Director of Channel Sales and Marketing for Intelligent Electronics, John founded Business Technology Centers and built the channel from its first reseller to over 250 active Solution Providers.  

John has been actively involved in CompTIA for over 30 years and has participated in several of the association’s communities.  In addition to his work on CompTIA’s Faculty, John is also a founding member of the Cloud Community and served for two years as its Chairman. He currently serves on the Executive Council of the Emerging Technology Community.  

John is a graduate of the U.S. Army Engineer School and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. He is also a member of the Ingram Micro VentureTech Hall of Fame. He is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and an honorary member of The Dove Fund, a charitable organization dedicated to building schools, clinics and other infrastructure projects in rural Vietnam.
